Aquatic Center- Manager in Training

The City of Sanborn is accepting applications for a Manager in Training to work alongside the current pool manager. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

• Must be able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week
• Must be able to work 2 full weekends per month (Friday-Sunday). Hours worked on the weekends will count towards your 30-hour requirement
• 3-5 years of lifeguard/swimming pool experience preferred
• Must be able to obtain lifeguard certification
• Must maintain a general understanding of the State of Iowa Swimming Pool Health Code

• Schedule lifeguards and be responsible for appropriate staffing during operating hours
• Supervise lifeguards with the daily operation of the pool and all required record keeping
• Supervise lifeguards to assure alertness, promptness, and firm rule enforcement consistent with written policies and common sense
• Schedule and coordinate swimming lessons and in-service training
• Verify timecards prior to submission to City Hall
• Handle employee and public concerns, problems, and suggestions
